Katsuyo Aoki:: It is rare to find an aritst who can seamlessly fuse a material and style with such deep historical ties to a contemporary art conversation that is accessible. So much pop art is the whim of a generation who lacks wisdom and rebels against it’s roots (which is what makes it so tasty).
But every now and then i want something smarter, that will sustain me for a while. Something that will inspire me for more than 60 seconds.
